The faces of Dorothy Day Center: Ruth’s story
A grandmother, nurse and ordained minister, Ruth arrived at Dorothy Day Center lost, suffering from dementia and desperately in need of a safe place to stay. Ruth had none of her medications, little money, few possessions and even fewer memories. With help, Ruth was able to connect to the services she desperately needed, find her family and eventually make a new home in an assisted living facility in the area.
