Imagine sleeping on a mat no more than two inches away from someone else, all of your belongings next to you. Think about getting up the next day, hardly rested or nourished and setting
off to work or a job interview. In addition to these incredibly difficult circumstances, many of our guests at Dorothy Day Center face additional challenges and barriers when it comes to finding employment – including education level, mental illness or criminal background.
